Caring For Society And Nature On Tropical Coasts




  • Dr. Cordell was appointed in May, 2008 as Visiting Professor, University of Sao Paulo. and will travel to Sao Paulo in August to offer a post-graduate course on environmental anthropology and coastal resource management in the USP's Programa de Posgraduacao em Ciencia Ambiental (PROCAM). As part of the course, students will visit field sites on the Sao Paulo coast where ethnographic research is being carried out to support Brazil's Marine Extractive Reserve (MER) and Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS) communities
